Some Numbers on Foxx
Roger Sharpe (see two entries down-column) was right on target, saying U.S. Rep. Virginia Foxx is bought & paid for. Thanks to NCBlue for putting us onto these figures compiled on the DCCC site:
*Foxx has been given $28,850 by big oil & gas.
*Foxx voted against cracking down on the oil and gas industries price gouging (HR 3402, Vote #500, 9/28/2005).
*Foxx voted for the GOP energy bill that gave billions to oil, gas and nuclear industries (HR 6, Vote #445, 7/28/2005).
*Foxx has been given $6,500 by big drug companies.
*Foxx received $15,000 from (indicted) Tom DeLay's ARMPAC.
*Foxx received $5,000 from Bob Ney, the first congressman to be implicated based on the Jack Abramoff guilty plea.
