Watauga County on List for Crop Loss Aid
The wonderful, soaking rain today should not mislead anyone. We've still got a drought on, and it'll take many days of such rain to catch us up. Meanwhile the U.S. Department of Agriculture has declared 85 of N.C.'s 100 counties as eligible for low-interest Emergency Disaster Loans for farmers who can't get credit elsewhere.
